J.Q. Nelson Hailing from Eastside 7-mile Detroit, MI, I’m a proud alumn of Syracuse University, The National Journalism Center, and the Heritage Foundation's Young Leaders Program. Her involvement with film began with an experimental project amongst friends in 2018, with a short film called "Haley". Abigail co-wrote, acted, and produced the short. This collaboration inspired the founding of Core4 Productions. She began writing short films more regularly as well as taking on other production roles on various projects. Nicole studied film at Wayne State University, graduating in the Winter of 2019. Since then she has created 6 short films with her partner Craigen Oster, including the award winning short FOOD TIME, in which Nicole served as both the producer and lead actress. I graduated from Detroit Mercy with a BA in Psychology in 2013, and immediately began pursuing my JD at Wayne State Law School in Detroit the following Fall. Having made short films throughout my life with my older brother Joe and younger brother Deej, I felt the itch to pursue filmmaking more seriously during my time at Wayne Law, where I found myself needing a creative outlet away from the matter-of-fact world of law school. I began taking classes in Wayne's film school through a program that allowed the credits to count towards my law degree, and ensured that I'd have equipment to produce a few shorts. He has toured all over the country with his music, performing at SXSW, the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, Middle of the Map Fest, TEDxDetroit and twice at the Movement Electronic Music Festival.
