Job Title: Hardscape Crew Member Reports to: General Manager Location: Westlake, Ohio FLSA Status: Full- Time, Hourly Job Summary: Ground Works Land Design is looking for a Hardscape Installation Crew Member to become part of our vastly growing company. This candidate will demonstrate the know-how and abilities required to perform the required job duties and other duties as assigned. What we offer: Healthcare Insurance (medical & dental) 401(k), 401(k) matching, Profit Sharing Year-Round Employment Employee Appreciation Events Paid Time Off EAP Program Professional Development Assistance Uniforms Supervisory Responsibilities: No direct supervisory responsibilities Duties/Responsibilities: Vast understanding of standard construction tools and practices, such as: understanding grades, reading measuring tapes, simple calculations Able to take direction and constructive criticism Follow and execute project instructions from the Hardscape Foreman or other management Proficiently operate a variety of landscaping and construction equipment Maintain a clean and safe work environment, work site and maintain equipment including but not limited to company fleet, machinery, and hand tools Properly use equipment and perform job duties to the Ground Works Land Design standard. Positively promotes the company culture Follows company policies and procedures. Performs all other duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities: Adaptable to a growing team Effective communicator with the ability to be presidential when conversing with a client or fellow employee. Detail oriented and organized Self-driven and positive attitude Able to work efficiently with little to no supervision Excellent verbal and written communication skills Able to work in a fast-paced environment a plus Able to analyze diverse problems and consistently make proper decisions Educations and Experience: Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record Able to work successfully with limited supervision Ability to communicate in both English and Spanish is a plus Minimum 2 years’ experience in landscape and grounds keeping High attention to detail with excellent organizational skills Physical Requirements: Able to lift more than 50 lbs.
