We are looking for a full-time caregiver employee who is an experienced personal assistant/caregiver employee with verifiable references for an early 30's wheelchair bound female diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy. Able to work Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and weekends (8 a.m.- 4 p.m. or 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.). Good English communication skills are highly desirable. Due to our daughters’ physical and mental limitations, the following are STRONGLY PREFERRED for consideration: ● Must be a female and a non-smoker. ● Must be able to lift up to 110 lbs. without any discomfort or self-harm. Proper training will be provided. ● Must have reliable transportation to and from the home in Burbank, where the care will be provided. Local caregivers are desirable. ● Must have a clean driving record, as you will be using a Wheelchair accessible van designed to our daughter’s needs and specifications to take her to and from College/ School/Activities. ● Must have a high sense of patience, and know how to engage in creative dialogue and activities to stimulate cognitive thinking and speech skills. Experience providing companionship and social interaction would be great. Joyful/Cheerful personality that can help motivate and uplift through conversation ● Be able to serve food and light housekeeping. ● Be reliable and be on time to work. We would like to emphasize that we are NOT an agency, and NO CASH PAYMENT WILL BE OFFERED. We are a private family, looking for someone who is willing to work for mid to long term. Compensation commensurate with experience, but we are looking to start from $23 hourly. All training will be provided.
