Do you want to help make our roadways and facilities safe? DCS is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Inspector with the ability to pay attention to all details. This position will implement the requirements of the Asset Maintenance Business Unit Project’s Quality Management Plan by performing scheduled and periodic assessments verifying work performance compliance while promoting the continuous improvement of services. General responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following: demonstrate a sound understanding of the contract requirements and customer’s objectives; execute and manage the project’s quality management plan in conjunction the operational plan in a well-organized manner to meet and /or exceeds the contractual obligations; perform and report monthly Maintenance Rating Program (MRP) inspections at randomly sampled field locations; ensure Roadway and Facilities personnel and subcontractors are actively performing duties and responsibilities at optimal performance levels; perform specialty inspections and inventory collections as directed; routinely perform and report in-progress and work completed inspections of both in-house and subcontractor operations including, but not limited to, asset repair / replacement, customer service, herbicide application, incident response, and scheduled inspections; maintain an active tracking log of permitted operations; actively participate in construction and permitted operations pre-work inspections and meetings, field and progress meetings, and semi-final and final inspections; routinely perform and report in-progress, semi-final, and final work completed inspections of construction permitted operations as specified per the approved plans and other governing documents; ensure complete, accurate, orderly, and timely submission all operations required and supporting documentation (electronic and hard copy) as depicted in the project’s operation plan; and seek methods to continually improve processes and procedures for performance efficiency. Requirements: • 1 - 4 years’ quality control and / or quality assurance inspection • Infrastructure industry experience preferred • Ability to accurately perform construction mathematical calculations • Ability to read and interpret plans, policies, and procedures • Ability to work independently • Intermediate knowledge in MS Office software including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word • Proficient knowledge in the use of manual and powered pneumatic, hydraulic, gas, and electric powered tools and operating equipment • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Be able to comply with Company Drug and Alcohol Policy Certificates & Licenses: • High School Diploma / GED required; Associates degree or vocational certificate preferred • Construction Training Qualification Program (CTQP) Level I certification(s) required • Valid Driver License • Advance Maintenance of Traffic preferred • First Aid / CPR preferred • NPDES Stormwater Illicit Discharge, Detection, and Elimination Training preferred
