A local property management company is seeking a friendly, skilled maintenance technician to join their property maintenance team! This person will perform a variety of tasks such as diagnosing tenant maintenance concerns, performing repairs, preventative maintenance, clean-ups, property inspections and more. We are looking for a self-starter with a positive and friendly demeanor who can work quickly and efficiently throughout the day. Ideally we are looking for experience in any or all of the following areas: Construction, HVAC repairs, electrical repairs, plumbing repairs, carpentry, and general handyman skills Building engineering and maintenance Site and building inspections (commercial experience preferred, residential experience considered) Janitorial or custodial work, including day-porter services Though experience is ideal, our client is willing to train the right person with the aptitude to learn, so entry-level experience in the field is also welcome! Ideal candidates: Provide excellent customer service. Remain calm and focused when listening to concerns from tenants and managers. Take pride in their work and strive to do their best, always following through. Are good listeners and able to diagnose a problem and determine practical, cost-effective solutions. Work effectively with a team and by themselves, as needed. Can spot preventive maintenance needs and communicate to management appropriately. Understand how to prioritize their workload and work well under pressure. Have their own transportation, and a satisfactory driving record. Are comfortable using a computer or smartphone for email communication, reports, and work order management. There is a reimbursement for driving miles as well as a phone stipend, and the schedule is flexible, with full-time and part-time options available.
