Development Academy is a new educational nonprofit that needs help tilling 5 acres of land. We have just been granted 5 acres of fertile farmland in Jeffersonville to cultivate our own organic produce in order to supply our farm to fork foodbus program we are opening Fall 2022. We want to make healthy food options more accesible for everyone while training young people in the fundamentals of agricultural science and economics. This is our first fundraising effort & first farming operation, so we could use any and all help please! DONATIONS ADVICE VOLUNTEERS RENTAL EQUIPMENT DISCOUNTED SERVICES ETC. We have about 4 acres of 3.5 foot tall(as of 8/8) fescue that needs cut/baled immediately. You cut you keep! We have no heavy machinery(tractor or brushhog etc.)) to clear this much land. We also have another acre that should be cleared also as we hope to get some seeds in that area very soon to reap a small harvest this year.
