I don't gig anymore (retired pro) nor do I go to open mic's but why someone would flag your post for an open mic makes no sense. Open mic's are a great place for beginner musicians to get on stage to play without the expectations of being pro level, and are also a great place for musicians to find others to form a band with. Someone thinking these take away from bands getting paying gigs is a loser. This clod should go to an open mic and when he sees the average level of the players there, he would know they are no threat to a pro getting work. It's more likely the flagger is a wannabe who can't play through the most simple song without botching it up several times and so is jealous of those who can play at least a little, so he wants to try to ruin it for everyone else. Flagger, get a life and use your time to learn how to play your instrument and maybe when you get any good at it, you won't be so bitter toward everyone else who can play ;)
