Hello, I am a musician that is looking to go to churches to sing and play Christian music. I’m going to create and record songs that many people know and some they don’t know. I play piano and guitar. So what I’m looking for is a female singer to sing live with me and harmonize with me. I think 1 guy and 1 girl is a good combination…if you’ve listened to Casting Crowns & Selah you’ll know what I’m talking about. Because I can record any instrument I need to… on my computer, I won’t need all those musicians to play live with us (which is nice to keep it small and compact…when going to the church to do a show)…but…the songs will sound like a whole band is playing…because they are recorded as real instruments. I will supply the PA and mics…Some songs I will play live keyboards with (I don’t play guitar anymore but I will through the piano into the computer as a pre-recording)…along with the background music….some I won’t I’ll just sing…with you…So we will be considered a band that goes to churches on let’s say a Wednesday night or Sat night or whenever… for people to come and listen to…no sermon…just for them to enjoy some great Christian music sung live…so all they will do is sit there and enjoy themselves and either smile a lot, sing along and/or praise Jesus. I think the best part of what I want to bring to the crowd is….. songs that they can learn more about God via the words that we sing…..some of these songs were revelations to me when I heard them the first time. It seems so many Christian songs on the radio are never played in a church…why?...because they aren’t made to praise Jesus on Sunday mornings…They are stories….Stories that talk about life and then how God can help us with those day to day problems.….and so this way they will hear some from us….I’m not going to these churches to get everyone there to jump up and down and be some rock and roll band. It will be the opposite….these will be more like ballads about how God loves us…(these will be personal songs).what God cares about….how he wants us to deal with daily life, struggles etc. & associate with him…. I’m not looking to do this for money…but if the church wants to take up a donation and give us a donation at the end so be it..that’s Gods choice….I won’t say no….but it’s my way of doing Gods will and spreading his word with the gift he’s given me…as a musician…following his great commission…spreading his word ….through songs. Now if there are quite a few people that come to me to audition, that can sing well….…I’ll pray about it and pick someone… it may take a little while. So to give you an idea of the type of music-call me and I’ll send you some links. I tried to put them in this add and I got flagged. Now, I’m at the beginning stages of putting this altogether……but I want to get a partner right from the beginning so we can work together.. Obviously the more experience you have singing Christian music in the past, the more chance I will want you on my team. Now I live in Norfolk so it would be great if you lived close by too…but let’s just see what happens. So, if you’re interested or have questions just call me.
