I am trying to sell a few items on CL and, as soon as I publish the listing, people start texting me about the item and then they want to send me a "Google code" to make sure I am not a scammer. I've never heard of that, but it doesn't make sense to me that this will prevent a scammer since I am the seller and they would have to come to my house to purchase my item. Is that itself a scam? I don't want to be scammed myself. Thank you for your answer.
