 I am writing to you as a person who is invested in our city and community and in supporting people in recovery from addiction and alcoholism. 4th Dimension Sobriety is an organization you may have read about in the Milwaukee Journal & Sentinel or heard about on Wisconsin Public Radio. During the worst year in history for deaths from addiction and alcoholism and ongoing negative economic impact, 4th Dimension Sobriety has pushed to expand by 40% the number of sober beds in Milwaukee. 4th Dimension Sobriety is the largest provider of sober living beds in Milwaukee. That expansion has been possible because of the rental of a former bank and hostel at 500 E. Center St. 4TH Dimension Sobriety is trying to raise $2 million to buy the building. The building owner’s financing changes significantly in December 2022, making the cost of the building much more expensive for 4th Dimension to lease and creating increased urgency to buy the building as soon as possible.
