The 11th Biennial Skagit River Festival opens Thursday night at 5:30 with a Patron & Poet Soiree. Festival poets and guests enjoy locally sourced hearty appetizers. The Thursday evening reading, 8-9:30 PM welcomes American living treasure, Ray Young Bear, Washington State Poet Laureate, Rena Priest & returning home, poet Sasha taqwšəblu LaPointe. Swinomish elder, Kevin Paul, will sing us to open this remarkable evening. The all festival ticket includes ALL public events Thursday-Saturday but excludes the Students Only sessions, Friday 9-2PM. Please Note that all COVID protocals will be in effect and up to date. We will follow all CDC and Skagit Deptment of Health Department guidelines. Masks will be encouraged for all non eating indoor events.
