The National Congress of Black Women, Inc. (NCBW) is a nonprofit organization founded by the late former United States Congresswoman Shirley Chislom and the first African American female US Secretary of State C. Delores Tucker more than 30 years ago. Under the current leadership of Dr. E. Faye Williams, Esquire, NCBW continues to fulfill the vision of its founders by serving as a nonpartisan voice and instrument on issues pertaining to the appointment of women at all levels of government and to increase minority women's participation in educational, political, economic and social arenas.
