Description
We'll meet in a circle of trees on Highline Place between Dahlia and DartmouthLook for a red scarf in a tree near the street. What to bring? Bring a chair, journal, water, and picnic snack if you'd like. Dress for the weather with good walking shoes. For this September gathering, bring a drum if you have one! We'll have a short time of drumming and chanting. What about accessibility? Our gathering places are outdoors and on natural terrain. If you have a specific accessibility concern, please contact Kelly so she can support you. Activities will vary so those with limited mobility may participate. Each and every attendee assumes responsibility for their own safety and wellbeing at Wild Church Denver gatherings. Are children welcome? Yes! Our gatherings are informal and relaxed, and children are free to participate to the extent that they wish. Four-years-old and up seem to really engage, and all ages are welcome. Just being outdoors and playing can be part of worship. Caregivers are responsible for children and their safety during the gathering. There is no charge for attending Wild Church Denver....AND donations are welcome to cover cost of supplies and Kelly's time to prepare. A portion of all contributions will be shared with Earth Guardians. Spirituality and nature are not separate. Spirit infuses and animates all of nature. We don't live on the land, we live with it, and we can be in direct relationship with the elements and creatures with whom we share our homes - a relationship of love. We defend what we love. So this kind of spirituality leads us to climate action that is committed, long-lasting and grounded in a loving relationship with the planet. Our ancestors knew this. Come deepen your indigenous way of knowing. Kelly and Wild Church Denver are part of the Wild Church Network.
