Through its Maternal Health Community Baby Shower Initiative, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois (BCBSIL) and its Special Beginnings Program strives to connect at-risk pregnant mothers with health and community resources to assist them in having a healthy pregnancy. Building partnerships with community organizations to host informational sessions and community baby showers targeted toward the Medicaid population is instrumental in ensuring positive health outcomes for both mothers and their babies.
