Honoring the memory of the fiercely supportive Delores Bartizal, the APO proudly presents an evening themed around Feisty Femmes (with the support of a few good men). It starts with the world premiere of composer Barbara York’s, The Sunken Garden. Then it’s time to get your tango on with Argentinian composer Ástor Piazzolla’s famous hometown tribute, The Four Seasons of Buenos Aires. Working closely with Maestro Steven Byess, the APO’s lead violinist Er-Gene Kahn and contrabassoonist Richard Bobo both shine brilliantly.
