Join us at Studio By The Tracks with artist April Bonasera for a beautiful morning spent dyeing vintage linens with locally grown and stunning goldenrod! In this class, you will learn how to forage goldenrod, to prepare fabric for receiving dye, and some different techniques for dyeing. This workshop is appropriate for ages 18+.
April is a professional tailor/stitcher/costumer for film, television, opera, theatre and live events. She is a devoted fiber artist who gained appreciation and love for textiles and natural dyeing while studying Apparel/Textile Design at The University of Alabama. She creates sustainable art and wearable art pieces using vintage linens and different dye methods.
