Innocent bystander here To the person that wrote the OP; You are correct. The scene here has taken a nosedive in recent years and I believe, like you, that it's completely attributable to the influx of Californians and Texans. I feel your pain. Daily. To the person that replied; You are exactly the kind of person that the OP was talking about. Your display of ignorance and arrogance is astounding but expected. There's no surprise there. In fact, I recognize your sentencing structure and I know who you are. I know exactly who you are. To everyone else; We have to rebuild this scene. We're not gonna do it by being pricks to each other. The OP was right. Be nice. Open your minds. Don't disrespect people. And post HONEST ads, not the lies and trash you post now. Tell everyone you're a think-for-yourselfer and find other like minded shady people to start a band with. Stop riding the coattails of the talented and good people out there. I too have had trouble locking down a band. I too have a semi-illustrious music career. I too am completely disappointed in this scene as of late. But I'll keep persisting, even though I know in my heart the chances of me actually getting a good band worked up are slim. We need a new forum, or CL needs to change its rules on overposting. I replied to 3 completely different ads that all led to the same person, all of which contradicted each other. One guy has like 20 ads up and never responds to any of them.
