Low cost heat alternative for above ground pools

I recently set up an above ground swimming pool for a friend. She purchased a solar pad that connects to the filter pump and it did not come close to heating it enough to enjoy. I was astounded at what they want for heaters for this set up so set my mind in motion Where the outlet of the solar pad is I inserted and connected a garden hose with another in line after that then back to the pool. BAMM!!! Just as if I added two more solar panels. By the eñd of the first day that way it was almost warm enough to get in. Tomorrow about noon I expect to have it warm enough she can enjoy. She is my landlady and a wonderful woman so if I can give her, and you the idea, to save big bucks over what is for sale, then I'm happy. Hope it helps somebody else
