DETROIT — A husband and wife died in a Detroit house fire early Monday morning, officials said.
The couple, Patricia Morgan, 65, and Jeffery Gladney, 55, died from heat and smoke inhalation after their home on Maiden Street, near Chalmers Street and Interstate 94 was completely engulfed by flames, officials said.
Officials believe the couple was in their bedroom in the front of the house when the fire broke out around 3:30 a.m.
Officials are still investigating the cause of the fire.
