New Wave Estates is seeking a Full-Time Handyman/Plumber with experience in all phases of apartment building maintenance. We offer our team members exceptional training, development, and support. Duties and Responsibilities: Must be able to do general repairs, kitchen cabinet demo/install, tile work, flooring, electrical repairs/fixture installation, carpentry, cleaning and apartment turnover. Must be able to do general plumbing installations and maintenance Must be able to complete work order forms, take direction, be organized and have the ability to effectively communicate with supervisor, manager and residents. Must perform all aspects of property maintenance, including preventative, corrective, deferred and emergency maintenance. Perform maintenance inspections and repairs on vacant units to ensure proper operating conditions and appearance upon move-in. Serve as on-call maintenance providing evening, weekends and holiday emergency service when needed. Assist with snow removal of walkways and exterior of buildings. Qualifications: Must have at least 1+ years handyman experience, must have basic handyman tools. Must have at least 1+years plumbing experience, must have basic plumbing hand tools. Must be able to complete maintenance and repair work orders, in a timely fashion. Lifting and carrying of bulky or heavy items may be required. Must have a Valid NJ Driver’s License and own Transportation. Ability to speak Spanish a plus
