IMMEDIATE JOB OPENING IN ROMEOVILLE Inventory & Warehouse Clerks for our Records Storage Dept. Preferred but not required: experience on general warehouse equipment, forklift, stock picker, RF scanners and computer (Excel). • Clerk Responsibilities and Duties This position is responsible for providing warehouse services including pulling boxes and files and packing orders, inventory control, shipping and deliveries via company truck or van and operating forklifts. Responsibilities and Duties - Excellent communication skills. Maintain highest levels of accuracy and meet deadlines. Work hand in hand with managers and supervisors. Operate equipment such as RF scanners, forklifts and company vehicles. Learn and use software. Maintain records of boxes of documents received and transferred. Process purchase orders timely and follow-up on pending orders Maintain inventory reports according to standard documentation and archiving procedures. Taking and making phone calls, email correspondence, operating printers, and typing letters. Schedule customer deliveries and returns. All other duties as assigned in Records Storage Operations Department. Responsible for taking boxes and files to FedEx or appropriate delivery vendors as well as delivering and retrieving to/from customers. Counts Inventory: Cycle counts, perpetual inventory auditing. A warehouse inventory control clerk receives and counts items in a warehouse inventory and records the data either manually or on a computer. Unpacks and packs items and stocks them on the shelving systems in a warehouse. Also keeps the stocked items organized and readily accessible. Discrepancies: Warehouse inventory clerks compare the quantities of items physically present in the warehouse to the inventory records of a warehouse. If he finds a difference between the stock on hand and the records, he investigates the discrepancy. If necessary, he adjusts the errors in the system, under the direction of the warehouse manager. Inventory Tagging: In addition to inventory, clerk marks the stock using a variety of means, including RF radio frequency identification tags, paper tags, labeling equipment or stencils, or other marking equipment. Cleans and maintains the warehouse and the tools and equipment in the warehouse to keep things in order and in compliance with federal, state, and local safety rules. With guidance from the warehouse manager, he also determines proper storage procedures and inventory control methods. Stock Inspection: An inventory control clerk examines items in inventory for defects, wear, or damage, and reports this information to the warehouse manager. He maintains records of damaged stock and damaged warehouse materials-handling equipment. In addition, he provides guidance and direction to other warehouse workers. Position Overview: As a warehouse team member, you exhibit professional work behaviors at all times. You have a positive team attitude, can work at a fast pace and follow instructions from management and owners to perform all duties assigned to you in our records storage warehouse. Tasks and duties include utilizing records storage software (computer data entry skills) using bar code scanners to process and retrieve boxes and files, operating a picker, attention to detail and proofing your work is critical. Must have 2 years similar work skills and experience. Essential Job Duties/Requirements and Qualifications: • Teamwork and sense of urgency as directed • Speak and write in English • Professional appearance • Exercise good judgement by making sound and well-informed decisions • Manage physical boxes, climb stairs, lift up to 70 lbs. • Attention to detail, proofing your work throughout the day • Computer skills accurate and quick paced– Microsoft Office and willingness to learn industry specific record storage software – • Communicate appropriately verbally and in writing • Order picker experience a plus • Ability to speak fluently with management and staff as well as customers and vendors • Have reliable transportation • Good attendance record, be punctual and reliable team member • Ability to handle special projects assigned by manager • Ability to take direction and perform tasks accordingly • Ability to use a RF scanner and industry specific software • Responsibilities include driving a company vehicle to various customers to deliver and retrieve files or boxes (must have valid driver’s license with good record for 2 years) • Excellent customer service skills • Various security checks required. Criminal background check, prior employment check and drug screening • Two years past experience in a service industry environment • Prior warehouse or route delivery experience preferred (depending upon position) • Random security inspection of individual property may occur with no notice (no drugs, no theft, and no weapons) • All duties as assigned Physical Requirements: These positions require physical activity and continual motion. Flexibility, overall good physical health, strong upper and lower body strength, bending and good motion, lifting, pushing and pulling is required. May be required to sit or stand or walk for extended periods. Must be able to lift full boxes of paper and collection bins.
