Description
Meet at Lower Ross Park. Look for our table with your goodie 🎒 bag, one per family. This is a kid friendly event. We have been having single parent events in the Boise area since 2014. We started having events in Pocatello in 2021. This meeting intends to connect with other single parents on the parenting level. Bring your kids. We started as Single Moms Unite! in 2014 with monthly meetings. Then in 2015, we became, Single Moms Unite!, LLC and continued with quarterly gatherings. In 2017, we added Consulting for Single Parents. This included dads being welcomed to the quarterly events. With Consulting for Single Parents, we offer life coaching tips on parenting and budgeting. As we continuing with quarterly get-togethers, such events have been bowling, park day, meeting & greeting in other non-profit business offices, and coffee house gatherings. In 2022, we are launching the nonprofit organization to help on a larger scale. This will allow us to have a team to brainstorm with and add their network of knowledgeable people to further help us help you, the single parent and parents who may be parenting without a partner. Nek'ka was a single mom for 16 years and her kids are grown now. Amber, the co-host, is still a single mom and has helped many single moms as well. And Kevi is Amber's assistant in the Pocatello area. We would love to hear your story if you want to share it. We know that many single parents are looking for local resource information. We want to provide a safe place for you to chat with other single parents and others who have had single parenting experiences. If you are not on Facebook, we do have a meetup group called The Idaho Single Parents Meetup: https://www.meetup.com/idaho-single-parents-meetup-group/events/285216741/ Also, if you have a dream for your life, we want to see how to collaborate with you on building your dream. So, come on out and meet Nek'ka, a published author the founder of the Consulting for Single Parents and the upcoming nonprofit foundation, and her Executive Assistant of the Pocatello division, Amber.
