The Kansas City CPCU Society Chapter has an exciting day planned on Thursday, October 20, 2022 at Children’s Mercy Park from 8:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. The day will focus on local topics impacting the insurance industry in Missouri and Kansas. Our presentations will focus on the development of skills important to the insurance industry whether attendees are a CPCU designee, candidate, or other insurance professional. Registration includes a plated lunch and refreshments.
Cary Phillips will be our featured MC for the event and our featured speakers include:
Marquita Miller-Joshua with a presentation on "No More Excuses - Own Your Career,"
Steven Badger, Catastrophe Litigator of Zelle Law Firm discussing "Insurance and Public Policy Issues Arising from the 9/11 Terrorist Attack"
Phil Keena of Rimkus with a presentation on fire cause & origin issues, a presentation from the office of the Kansas Insurance Commissioner, and a session with CPCU Society national President-Elect Brett Clausen on how the CPCU Society can help you network and launch your career.
Our featured non-profit this year is Lead to Read KC, a charity focused on improving children's literacy in the Kansas City area at local schools. Please consider bringing a new or like new book to donate to support this charity and hear more about their mission.
