ISO Fellow musician to Thru-Hike Appalachian Trail

Description

In 2021, I attempted to thru-hike the Appalachian Trail to raise awareness and funds for polio eradication through Rotary International. After 28 days and 428 miles, the isolation broke me and I returned home. To date, I have raised (with significant help from Rotarians of the Pittsburgh area) over $78,000 for polio eradication. In 2023, I would like to make another attempt to complete the 2,200 mile trail, but with a hiking partner. My ideal candidate would also be a musician/entertainer. I hike with a carbon fiber ukulele and hopefully we could make a cool duo. Given the mission of the project to get polio vaccinations to children around the world, the candidate needs to be a supporter of vaccinations. If any of this seems of interest to you, let's start a conversation. You can check out some of what I accomplished in 2021 from my website www.hikeforpolio.org Thanks in advance! OPS
