Description
Nearly everybody moves at some point in their life but not everybody is comfortable driving the moving truck. Most people are simply not used to it. The CDL Drivers Manual actually describes rented trucks as a road hazard saying "Rental trucks should be watched carefully. Their drivers are often not used to the limited vision they have to the sides and rear of the truck." The simple reality is that most people have little to no experience driving anything larger than an SUV.
Why risk it? Call me! I'm a licensed class A CDL driver with a decade of experience driving commercial vehicles safely across the country.
This is for a driver only. You rent the truck (Penske is preferred) and you add me on as a driver. You load the truck and, if you wish, lock it and keep the key with you.
This will also allow you to have me return the truck to the pick-up location so that you don't need to pay the fees for a "one way" rental.
Prices:
Local Move (under 50 miles)
$50 + $10 per mile
Intermediate Moves (50-100 miles)
$100 + $5 per mile
Long Distance Moves (100-1000 miles)

+ cost of 1 night in a hotel
+ cost of flight if truck rental is "one way"
Extended Long Distance Moves (1000+ miles)
$200 + $2 per mile
+ cost of 2 nights in a hotel

*Prices do not include fuel.
*Miles are calculated using a GPS instead of the odometer. This way we can agree and be on the same page prior to departure.
*Flat rate is due when picking up the truck. Half of the total is due prior to departure from old home. The remaining balance is to be paid upon arrival at your new home prior to unloading.
*Will go anywhere in the continental US.
If you're in need of a driver for your next move please give me a call to schedule or to get a quote.
