THESE 2 DOGS DUE TO BE EUTHANIZED TODAY 8/7 FOR KENNEL DETERIORATION‼️ 💔 THEY NEED TO BE ADOPTED BEFORE 5PM TODAY SO WE NEED YOU TO ACT QUICK!! These are both healthy dogs‼️ They have done NOTHING wrong other than having the misfortune of landing at the MCACC facility. Dogs at MCACC are only let out of their kennels once per week if they’re lucky. Young dogs do NOT handle this type of excessive confinement well. They are stressed in those tiny kennels. THIS SHOULD NOT BE A DEATH SENTENCE! They are good dogs! DAISY (ID #A4754459) is a 5-year-old, spayed, brown and white American Pit Bull Terrier (55 lbs.) She was wandering homeless when someone found her limping and brought her in overnight. Daisy got along with the adults and children in the home, but the finder indicated that she might be best suited for a home with older children. Daisy is extremely STRESSED! She is biting at kennel gate, panting heavily, and pacing. Volunteers describe her as a friendly, wiggly girl with a “sweet demeanor”! She likes attention and affection and leans in to get pets. She is easy all the way around…easy to handle, easy to walk, and easy to take from and return to her kennel. She takes treats gently. Daisy has been non-reactive to dogs passing by and when out walking. Daisy’s sociability with dogs has not been assessed, so she would need to be kept separate initially, with a SLOW introduction to the resident dog(s). It is recommended that she meets the entire family, and the children in the home are required to be 12+. SWIRL (ID #A4754423) is a 6-year-old, neutered, black and white American Pit Bull Terrier/Mix (57 lbs.). Swirl came into the shelter as a stray and was cooperative during his intake. Sadly, no one has come to get him and take him home. He is now so STRESSED that he is bounding off the kennel walls and has cut his muzzle on the gate. Volunteers say that Swirl is a “very, very sweet boy” that will sit calmly when approached to be taken out. He enjoys being petted all over and doesn’t mind being given a bath. Volunteers say that Swirl walks “really well” on-leash, and “sits” for treats, and takes them nicely. He has been non-reactive to dogs in the shelter. Swirl’s sociability with dogs has not been assessed, so he would need to be kept separate initially, with a SLOW introduction to the resident dog(s). It is recommended that Swirl gets to meet a potential adopter’s entire family before going home. PLEASE REMEMBER!! These dogs have been living in a high-stress environment and will need time to de-stress and relax!! They will benefit from a predictable routine as well as ample exercise and time to play. Their sociability with dogs has not been assessed, so they would need to be kept separate initially, with a SLOW introduction to the resident dog(s) IF YOU CAN SAVE 1 OF THEIR LIVES GO ADOPT NOW! THEY LITERALLY ONLY HAVE HOURS LEFT!! LOCATED AT: Shelter information: MCACC East Valley Animal Care Center, 2630 W. Rio Salado Pkwy Mesa, AZ 85201 Hours Sunday 12-5pm You can go directly to the shelter to adopt!
