Description
So, against my mother’s requests and wishes, my sister went and got a puppy. Then she abandoned him with my mom, who is unable- physically and financially- to maintain this puppy dog.
He really does have puppy energy, and she just hasn’t got the “keep-up-with-a-puppy spirit,” at all. It’s pretty taxing to her, especially where it pertains to her energy levels. My mom told me she is to the point of surrendering him to animal control soon, if I’m unable to find someone who wants him.
I REALLY want to keep him out of animal control.
Yes, he is timid initially, and I don’t want to mislead anyone about what to expect. BUT- he isn’t aggressive, at least not that I have experienced. Does he sound aggressive? Only when he barks, but you can hear how it is, honestly, only in fear.
Truth is: he warms up really quickly, and would be a wonderful dog if someone worked with him.
I know this isn’t a description for the perfect dog, but I’m going to be honest, because I would hope for the same.
My mom is already being stretched thin while caring for two young boys, due to my sister’s addiction issues.. and now the dog is an even heavier strain, and it’s too much for her. She has shaky health, and just isn’t able to be a pet owner too.
PLEASE, if you or a friend is considering getting a dog, consider this one. His name is “Cowboy.” I have never gotten a solid answer on the type of mix he is, but I am pretty sure he is a mutt. Cowboy is probably 4 to 7 months old. He is in fixed, but IS vaccinated.
PLEASE let me know if he sounds like the dog for you.
Also- DO NOT contact me with anything unrelated to this post.
