Currently my main artistic creative medium is rustic wood. Having acquired a supply of aged barn wood & such, it provided an opportunity to experiment with various artistic methods to create provocative, interesting stuff. Using various combinations of wood burning, water colors, acrylics, oils & some unconventional ideas, a few very interesting pieces have been created. Enough so that it impresses me there might be an opportunity to do more. I see very similar stuff, but really commercial crap, for sale at Hobby Lobby & Walmart, and some decent homemade stuff at the local farmer type markets. The idea of doing this as a big art project for awhile interests me. There is access to a roadside location which has been used before to sell art & pottery, so the complete potential is good. But it is more than one person can efficiently handle. The door is open for some one to share this opportunity. Obviously you would need to have artistic interests, but most important, you need to have a realistic notion that things don't happen without effort; and have the time and discipline to appropriately commit to the project for awhile. By windfall, most of the initial hard goods are available so very little monetary investment would be needed.
