Description
Meet Kadie, an adorable 9month old rescue female spayed lab mix Belgian Malinois mix. We got her a few months ago but unfortunately our older lab is miserable with her and has developed anxiety, insecurity, etc that has led to skin and eating issues. Our vet has recommended rehoming the puppy to keep our older dog healthy. Also, we are having my mother-in-law with Alzheimer’s move in with us out of necessity and she is unsteady on her feet and I’m worried Kadie is still too much of a puppy around her.
Kady is 9 months old and around 65 pounds, fully vaccinated with very sweet and smart temperament but is bossy to our older dog. Ideal home would be with very active owner. Good with kids and other dogs in general. Not good with cats. She is active but after a few miles walk or run at the beach is calm all day. Rarely barks. Her ideal home would be with someone home and/or another social younger dog as she loves to play.
This is a very difficult decision, but our older dog deserves a safe home and has not adjusted after several months of us being here to work with them together and with the additional stress of living with my MIL with Alzheimer’s who needs a calm and safe environment, we feel it’s best for Kadie to find a new home with a owner who will adore her. There is a rehoming fee that includes food, bed, toys, etc. Training has been at home with owners but needs work walking calmly on leash. Working on voice control. Potty trained.
