The ACEs, Trauma, and Handle with Care-Police Response in the Community course qualifies for 4 hours (2 mental health) of CLEET credit.
This course looks into adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and trauma, and how they relate to policing in the community. Officers will study and learn the Handle With Care method as a way of safeguarding children should they witness or otherwise be involved in a traumatic event.
Class will be held at the Garfield County Sheriff's Office, 216 West Oxford Ave., Enid, OK on August 17th, 2022 starting at 1300hrs.
