Where: W Bar by Wing Hop Fung (Arcadia) When: Sunday, August 21, 3:30-5:30 PM Cost: $35 plus eventbrite fee) Rosé all DAY (well, all AFTERNOON!) Rosé wine, also known as "pink" wine comes in a range of colors from pale pink to onion skin to deeper rose. These beautiful wines also exhibit a range of flavors from peach, watermelon and white flowers, to raspberry and cherry. The appearance and profile of rose comes from where the grapes are grown and how the wine is made. Direct-press wines, such as from Provence, tend to be paler in color and lighter in flavor and texture than saignee (bled off the skins of red grapes), often - but not only - found in California and other New World locales. All in all, rosé wines are diverse, refreshing and excellent accompaniments to a range of cuisines. Come join us on August 21rst when we will be offering a number of rosé wines to sample - from France, Italy, and the US. We know you'll appreciate their diversity, freshness and even price.
