In The Beats We Trust Project: co-creating community culture through music, dance, food, and communion! 5pm - Doors Open, Records Spinning 6pm - Opening Ceremony w/Cacao 630pm - Open Mic Jam and Dancing 8pm - Breaking Bread and Communion 830pm-10pm - Nightcap Jam + Dance Outside @Gazebo [This is an open mic jam, inviting all instruments, both acoustic and electric with a 12-channel mixer to connect to the sound system and voices with 4 open mics setup. Bring your instruments and cables to hookup if needed. Also, bring food to share for a potluck and blankets for laying outside on the ground during the nightcap.] In the Beats We Trust Project is seeking non-profit status with a vision to give back to the community and support local efforts. Suggested donation of $15 Enter the evening into a relaxed yet electric atmosphere with music filling the space and the opportunity to begin moving your body and warming up your instruments. Then let us join together in a Cacao Ceremony to set the intention for the evening and join in a Spirit of unity. This will lead into the Live Open Mic Jam and will begin with an ethereal feel led by melodic instruments. As the drums and djembes enter into the mix, there will be a wave of crescendos leading to the climax, experiencing ebbs and flows along the way. All the while, the dancers will be in constant communication with the musicians, speaking the language of movement with their bodies. After the first wave, we will break to commune with each other and join in feast while we relocate outside under the moon and stars gathering at the Gazebo. Finally we will join in an organic jam and dance, our feet connected to Mother Earth, letting the Spirit of the nighttime air take us wherever it leads. **This is not a performance but a co-creative experience open to everyone of all levels who want to participate where the energies flow between music, dance, and whatever’s on your Heart. You do not have to be a musician or dancer - simply open up and let yourself be moved by the Spirit of the beats.
