Woman King is a movie that tells the story of the formidable Female Warriors of the Dahomey Kingdom that spanned approximately 300 years from around 1600 to 1904. Properly known as the Agoji Warrior Women, they were ruthless and fearless in their role as soldiers defending their Kingdom. We will be opening the screening with an exciting cultural showcase that will set the tone of the event. As many may be aware this movie has created a buzz with much debate around the cultural impact.
