Description
Iba Orisha, Iba laiye ooo! Join Olori Temple as we celebrate manhood, as we celebrate masculinity! Join us for a celebration of Eshu, Ogun and Oshosi. The Yoruba people of Nigeria call them "Ebora", The Ones Who Carry Sacrifices. The diaspora calls them The Warriors! On August 27th we will call them for strength, courage and support in manifesting our target outcome. We call on Eshu for excellent communication and guiding our path. We call on Ogun for bravery and removing obstructions from our path. And we call Oshosi to manifest the goal and hit the "bulls eye" of what we want in life. There will be drumming, dancing and chanting for Orisha! The Orisha's shrine will be set in all of their masculine glory! Bring these orishas gifts of fruit, coconuts, liquor, cigars, cigarettes, candy, popcorn, nuts, dried foods, palm oil, obi kola and money! Join us at 4pm for the African Village Market and Paint and Sip PreParty. You will have a chance to patronize local vendors selling African inspired and Orisha paraphernalia and food and drinks. Also try your hand at painting a picture of the Ebora, (Eshu, Ogun and Oshosi) for your shrine or your home while listening to Orisha beats and afrobeats music. $35 donation for paint and sip supplies. Drinks and snacks provided while supplies last! Must RSVP by the 26th of August to participate in the paint and sip. If you don't want to paint just come and hang out, have a drink or 2 and mingle with the local Orisha crowd. Become a vendor in the African Village Market. $50 adult vendor fee. $25 child entrepreneur. Bring your own tables and chairs. Set up time 2pm. This will be an exciting and fun event you don't want to miss. Bring the whole family! Free community event!
