The Horatio Williams Foundation is having a FREE friends and family day at the Midway Park located in Downtown Detroit – Campus Martius area. Our goal is to be lifelong vehicles to helping children become leaders. Our teamwork approach requires every participant to develop trust, build integrity, and give as a servant to our community, while participating in our events and programs. The Horatio Williams Foundation is dedicated to helping Detroit Metropolitan youth realize personal success and achievement through a series of developmental leadership programs that will engage students in education, sports, and community service activities. All the programs that we offer are free.
Lace-up your skates and grab a putter because the Monroe Street Midway is back! This time around, we’re bringing you an upgraded roller-skating rink, plus full-court basketball and nine-hole mini golf – all decked out with murals by local artists. We’re also the hot spot for live music and DJs, along with food trucks and a concession stand – all for you to enjoy on the lawn or under the pavilion. Entry and many activities are free, so come have some all-in-one, family-friendly fun!
“The Horatio Williams Foundation is proud to partner with Bedrock to give our community an enjoyable experience right in the heart of Downtown Detroit” says Founder Horatio Williams. “We are honored to impact the youth by providing safe experiences that broaden our inner-city youth’s life experiences.”
