Seeking multi-instrumentalist/back-up vocalist for indie rock group

Meets

Dallas TX

Description

Hello! I recently moved back to DFW after a few years in New York and Seattle. I’m looking to re-establish a group for live gigs. I previously played gigs with my band, The Publication, in the Dallas area from 2017-2019, so I am familiar with the scene. Here is my Spotify for reference: https://open.spotify.com/artist/4GFFKlWcJd31yCDf4Jw0pj?si=uLOQFf7PSMWx96YMNM61CQ I am looking for a multi-instrumentalist who can help fill out the sound for live gigs. I would prefer for you to have some experience/proficiency with singing and to have some basic proficiency on keyboard/synth and auxiliary percussion (shakers, tambourine, etc.). Check out my songs on Spotify for a better sense of what I'm looking for. Also, I am looking for someone who is able to rehearse in Dallas or nearby city. I have no set rehearsal schedule in mind, but it would probably be based on when gigs are coming up. Gigs will likely be paid, but the exact amount is TBD and may vary by gig, depending on venue rules and the crowd we draw. I am NOT looking for musicians to write songs from scratch with. I have tried this with various groups before, and it just doesn’t work for me. I have a setlist of songs already written and ready to go. That being said, I always invite folks to tweak things if they have different ideas for how a part should sound, tempo, etc. – those kinds of things. And, if you have a song or two you’ve written that you want to add to the live gig mix, I’m cool with adding it as long as it fits the overall vibe. If you’re interested, send me a link to any of your past or current projects that you’ve drummed on. Or better yet, make a video of yourself playing along to one of my songs and send it over (not required). I’m looking to start things up in the fall, but feel free to send over any links or videos in the meantime. Look forward to hearing from you!
