Description

My name is Kimberlee and I'm the head trainer and owner at Lugaru K9 Training in Port Orchard. I have a foster here from Dog Gone Seattle who needs a shepherd-savvy home that will be able to provide for her drive and energy. Kimber is a bicolor female German Shepherd Dog who came in to me for some behavior modification around reactivity towards dogs. She is now doing well and cleared to go to a good home that will provide the structure and maintenance training she needs or better yet refine that training over time. She is a sweetheart to all humans and adores attention. She can exist around other dogs but can be a bit much socially for them, coming on too strong or trying to herd them. She is ecollar conditioned, has good leash manners, and has done lots of public access. She hates nail trims which we are currently training her for, but she is also muzzle conditioned and goes to the groomer for them regularly. Kimber can do well in an dog-savvy active pet home but would truly thrive with a job. She's very nose heavy and would likely excel at scentwork but I could see her doing well at other sports and tasks as well. Adoptions are made through Dog Gone Seattle and any serious interested adopters will need to reach out by filling out their application. As her trainer I will be happy to provide go-home lessons and email support to her adopters free of charge. Kimber's adoption fee is $550. Find Kimber's profile from Dog Gone Seattle here: https://doggoneseattle.org/adoptable-dogs/#action_0=pet&animalID_0=17463356&petIndex_0=7 Feel free to reach out with any questions.
