Hey Everyone, I am seriously considering starting a weekly or bi-weekly meeting for fellowship with Christian Rock Musicians who love the Lord and would like to meet with, pray with, jam with--like minded people and let the Lord take it where He will. What is Christian Rock? Stryper, Rez, Skillet...etc... About me: I'm a 61 year old male, (people say I look like I'm in my 40's--whatever,) with a strong background in bands like, Styx, Journey, Kansas, Foghat, Nugent, etc. Got saved in 79, formed a Christian Metal band in Mpls, played several shows and when Derrick Dickenson showed some serious interest on behalf of Word records, the band broke up. I eventually moved to Colorado in 1996 and sold most of my gear. Picked up the guitar again about 7 years ago and have been playing since. I've built my gear back up (Headrush PB and 2 Speakers, Warrior Guitar, Fender Strat, Silent Acoustic,) and for the past several years, played in the worship band at St. James Church. (yeah, THAT St. James Church.) Anyways, I find myself needing like-minded fellowship. I will never rule out playing in a band--worship or other-- again, but honestly, just want to see if others like me are out there and want to build some friendship/relationships. This is not a cult, so no wierdos....(sorry...we can all disagree about Eschatology, musical styles and things like that, but we will stick to the Essentials) The Bible is the inerrant Word of God. Jesus is the virgin born son of God. The Trinity is clearly evident in the Word. Christians need to grow and make disciples.
