Right wing populists are very very good at decieving the masses. Economic ideas that could do the greatest good for the most people are routinely described as socialist by the GOP leadership. Rand Paul is one of the biggest hipocrites to ever walk the earth. He will brand as socialist evil on any program that expands childcare or improves medicare coverage. Yet he never reveals that his own state received more federal dollars than the state of Kentucky pays in. In 2019 Kentucky received 63 billion more in aid than it payed in income taxes, and that wasn’t an isolated year. Right wing GOP populists love these rules they play by. There are fine with everything as long as tax revenue go back to red controlled states that is much larger than the individual states paid in. They will not call this imbalance from the federal government welfare, charity, socialism. Yet when democrates begin talks of shoring up social safety nets for middle class, retired or our children these populist quickly use the term socialist, all while their states benefit the most from federal dollars. And yes it’s flat out dishonest, but is anyone surprised? Kentucky is not the only state involved in this imbalance. 8 of the 10 most dependent on aid from the fed are republican controlled red states. These are West Virginia, Mississippi, Alaska,Kentucky, Alabama, Montana, Arizona and Louisiana. Even large and wealthy Texas gets more back from the federal government than they send. Of course Ted Cruz rages about the evils of socialism as his state recieves these socialist rewards. Nor does Montana talk socialism when the fed sends them $2.25 for every 1 dollar their state paid in taxes. Nine states regularly send the fed more dollars than they receive in federal benefits. Seven of those states are democratic controlled states. Do you suppose it’s concidence that the GOP label these states socialist mecka’s. New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Massachustts, Connicticut, Illinois and Minnesota. For years these states in the northeast and midwest are paying for the red states that take more than they give. New York gets back 86 cents for every dollar it sends to the fed in taxes, while Rand Pauls state of Kentucky recieves $2.35 or 300% more. The federal government takes money in via taxes and distributes those dollars back to the states. The GOP masters of deciet will not reveal their true selves and admit they take far more than they pay in and are the greatest benifactors from the federal government. They are wolves in sheep clothing. They will insist that any program the democrates lay out to benefit the middle class is a socialist program. These GOP hipocrites love socialism as long as they benefit from it and can keep it a secret. Wake up America. Do your research. You are being decieved.
