Many are comparing Richard Nixon and Watergate to Trumps current situation. Indeed each event was a constitutional crisis. There is one major difference. Richard Nixon was smart enough to resign the presidency to put this thing behind him. Trump on the other hand is not smart enough to step back from politics and hopefully never see jailtime. Trump is like a bulldog with his clenched teeth on American Democracy. He will not let go. He will not back down. It's just not smart enough to do that. He is driven by his own ego and can never be satisfied and that is exactly why Trump must be prosecuted, and stopped before he has an opportunity to do it again... The DOJ wants to remain out of politics, but they need to do their job. The American Taliban cult leader can never be permitted to seek office again.
