About the artist: Jennifer Graham has been quiet and shy her whole life. She is really uncomfortable talking about herself but what she is comfortable with is anything outdoors. She is an outdoor enthusiast, an active member of Pacific Northwest Search and Rescue and the mother of a severe special needs son. Jennifer was born and raised in Oregon and have dabbled with almost every art and craft there is. She never really found an artistic outlet that she could fully embrace until she got an anonymous gift of a wood burner left on her doorstep from a neighbor. That one act of kindness and small push to finally try something she had always wanted to try literally changed everything. Jennifer has found her passion in life in the form of fire. Pyrography has become her center and truly brings her a deep joy and peacefulness. The majority of her wood is gathered while hiking on Mt. Hood and other areas of the Pacific Northwest, making her art not only from a local artist but art made with natural local resources as well.
