Hi! My name is Charlie (Charlie Marshall )… but I have a few nicknames too! So if you make me your forever pup… we can talk about a name change if you want. Anyway… back to why I’m here. I’m an active, housebroken, extremely kind to other dogs (I haven’t been around cats but I imagine I wouldn’t have any issues with them cause I see them down the road and never really care to go say hi), and all humans! I know your basic commands and can sit, shake, stay… and learn almost anything really fast (I’m a smart little pup who’s eager to please). I really like where I’m at! And they like me too! I was rescued from a situation that wasn’t safe for me. I’m thankful I was taken to the vet for the first time and give Ann my needed shots and dewormed… since then everything has been kept up to date and I have no expected health issues. I have not been neutered but let’s get to know one another better before we get too personal. Speaking of that… I want to be honest about the few “less than desirable” habits that come with me. I drink water and then get it on the floor around the bowl. It’s not a big deal for my foster mom but for someone else they may get upset. So I want to be upfront. It’s not much… but it is daily. She puts a towel down and it works out! I also tend to jump sometimes when I meet someone new. To be fair… I didn’t get a lot of “home training” when I was little bitty. I know if someone could take a little time to show me … I’d figure it out pretty fast. I also have potential dew claws that may need to be removed but honestly they haven’t been an issue and the vet said it’s personal preference for now. I don’t shed as bad as my sister who’s a full blooded German Shepard but I do shed a little. If I get brushed once every week … or around two… i am good to go! Now I LOVE to run! And play! I didn’t want to say this was a bad thing! Cause I am a rock star at energy! (But when it’s time to be inside and chill…I become docile and calm almost immediately and stay that way till I know we are gonna go play based on commands). But I will need someone who can keep up and allow me at least daily energy play! Or a job! I think I’m a working dog who would be so happy with something to occupy my fast paced brain! But remember… I am also very calm and CAN be trusted inside the home without a kennel (at least up till now I have NEVER chewed anything I wasn’t suppose to. I do enjoy chew toys! ). I love treats but your love is more than enough. My mom says I’m the MOST interesting and neatest dogs she’s ever met! And she grew up on a farm with many dogs! So I must be pretty cool! I “talk” and make funny interesting sounds (only when we are playing. I’m not vocal or what some would think annoying. It’s based on play and my mom says it’s cute and kinda sounds like a baby pig. I seem to also indicate what my different needs are (bathroom/hungry/play) with different sounds! I really am a neat and intelligent dog who just needs some time and attention to be THE BEST DANG DOG in the world! Please consider meeting me! We maybe can even do a “trial” to make sure I’m a good fit for you. My foster mom wants to make sure I go to a place I’m welcome so we will make sure to be upfront and honest about all the stuff!
