Execute cultural field practices according to recommended rates and procedures and grow with us! ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Execute cultural field practices which may include bed preparation, seed sowing, chemical/fertilizer application, and general field maintenance, irrigation management, swathing, and combining. Record activity data according to regulations/standards and internal procedures. Manage mixing, storage, transport and application of product. Safely load/unload, secure, and operate field equipment. Responsible for minor repairs and assists in coordinating equipment maintenance. Perform and record daily safety checks of assigned vehicle(s) and associated equipment by conducting pre-trip inspections, such as checking fuel and oil levels, inspecting tires, lights, and brakes. Ensure that the Company handbook, Rules, Guidelines and Procedures, and safety policies are followed and personal protective equipment is used correctly. Operate a company vehicle to travel from field-to-field, driving on average 75 miles each day. Occasionally travel and/or drive and/or operate a forklift on behalf of the business. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent Able to obtain a Private Pesticide Applicator’s License Must have or ability to obtain CDL within 6 months of hire Valid driver’s license Able to work in varied environmental conditions (loud, hot, cold, dusty, damp, etc) Demonstrated experience operating, loading and driving a loaded trailer Experience in agriculture PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Basic knowledge of agricultural pesticides and weed identification Bachelor’s Degree in an Agriculture related field Jump Start Your Career With Express!
