Description
The 3rd Annual Southeast Ohio Suicide Prevention (SEOSP) Conference, hosted by the Southeast Ohio Suicide Prevention Collaborative, will be held in person at Ohio University. This event is made possible through partnerships with the 317 and Gallia-Jackson-Meigs Alcohol Drug Addiction and Mental Health Boards, Ohio University School of Nursing, Ohio SuicidePrevention Foundation, and the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention Ohio Chapter. The theme for this year is “Sustaining our Roots,” as the focus remains on suicide awareness efforts in Appalachia. We continue to recognize, celebrate, and highlight the work coalitions and organizations are doing to prevent suicide and promote mental health wellness in the region. The conference provides a local/regional platform for coalitions, professionals, organizations, and others dedicated to community solutions and a platform to address the public health problem of suicide. The primary audience for the conference will be the public, education, behavioral and healthprofessionals, state and community leaders welcomed and encouraged to attend. Continuingeducation opportunities will be explored and confirmed closer to the event. We invite you to join us for the day, listening to leaders in the field while enjoying a day at Ohio University.
