In the past two years, the car tour has finished 4 major trips, travelling over 15,000 miles in 33 states. By the time the team finishes this year's fourth trip, they would have traveled across 48 out of 50 US states, for a total of 23,000 miles. The organizer is the New York-based non-for-profit organization, Tuidang (meaning quit the CCP) Center, which was established in 2005 to provide services to Chinese American people who want to break from the CCP and its related organizations which they were forced to join before they came to the USA. The Tuidang movement's existence and progress has been credited in part to the book Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, according to the president of Tuidang Center, Ms. Yi Rong. "The Commentaries were originally published in 2004 as an editorial series by the Epoch Times to expose the full extent of the damage the Communist Party had inflicted on its followers. The spontaneous Tuidang or quitting CCP movement, began shortly thereafter in 2005." "Many Chinese people, after reading the book, wanted to separate from the Communist Party, and later they courageously quit the CCP and its related organizations. Up till today, through the help of many volunteers inside China, there are more than 400 million Chinese people who have quit the CCP and its related organizations." The mission of the End-CCP Car Tour is to share information about the dangerous true nature of Chinese Communist Party with the world. "The global pandemic is a wake-up call to the entire international community about the true character of the CCP,” Rong said, explaining that Beijing's early and purposeful coverup of the outbreak, its ongoing refusal to share real epidemiological data, and its aggressive push of the agenda to dominate the world have prompted western democratic countries to reevaluate their relations with China." "The initiative aims at laying a foundation for international awareness about the threat by the CCP; how it is sabotaging the democratic society's values and American's national interest, and for bringing about a China that is free of the Communist Party in the near future."
