We are an established local General Contractor and we are seeking an experienced Cabinet Maker and a Cabinet Maker Helper or Shop Laborer to join our team. If you are motivated, detail oriented and committed to high work standards and safety, come grow with us. The positions require the operation of woodworking machines, power tools and hand tools. Compensation depends on experience Job Duties may include but not limited to: • Building custom cabinetry from a variety of materials • Prepare and set up machines for manufacturing • Use hand tools to assemble finish products • Understand and interpret detailed shop drawings and blueprints • Adhering material together such as veneers and laminates to substrate material • Applying various forms of finishes to materials and assemblies such as stain, varnish, paint or lacquer • Loading and unloading of material and cabinetry for transport • Assembly and installation of custom cabinetry at project sites • Cleanup and organization of work area, basic tool maintenance and assessment of potential repairs or safety issues Qualifications and Job Requirements: • Work history and references that can verify your personal experience level • Proficiency with different work tools, wood-cutting equipment, and machinery • Ability to read measuring tools and mathematical proficiency related to work tasks such as verifying dimensions, quantities, joining assemblies, working on take-offs, etc. • Must have reliable transportation to and from work • A current valid driver’s license with clean record required if driving company vehicles • Ability to continuously stand, walk, sit, bend, squat, climb stairs and lift frequently • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds often and up to 75 pounds occasionally • To avoid injury, workers are required to wear personal protective equipment for the task they are performing including, but not limited to, gloves, safety glasses/goggles, protective chemical suits, dust masks, respirators, hearing protection, etc. Please provide a resume with verifiable work history or request an application by email.
