Beaverton Honda is seeking an experienced auto detailer. We need a high energy individual with an eye for the finest detail. The successful candidate will have a minimum of one-year experience, display positivity and motivation, and be ready to continue their career with one of the largest Honda dealerships in the Pacific Northwest. Using a variety of cleaning equipment and products, detailers must have an eye for cleanliness and inspection, including: • Wash the exterior of vehicles using various cleaning solutions • Wax and buff vehicles using cloths and buffing machines • Polish wheels • Vacuum to remove dirt and debris • Clean upholstery and surfaces • Use air compressors and cloths to dry surfaces and apply preservation chemicals to surfaces for protection against spots and stains • Use different kinds of dyes, paints and waxes to protect the leather or fabric of vehicles • Cleaning and removing grease on engines or engine compartments • Organize work records and files as needed • Other miscellaneous tasks as required This job posting in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed in these roles. WHAT YOU’LL NEED • Strong communication and interaction skills • Excellent organizational skills • Working knowledge of formulas in order to mix cleaning solutions, paints and other chemicals • Understand and operate cleaning equipment (essential); must know how to efficiently operate hand tools or power tools and follow the safety policies • A minimum of one-year detailer experience preferred; will train the right candidate PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Regularly required to stand and walk. Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat and climb. Ability to lift, carry, pull and push up to 50 pounds. Twist and turn in confined spaces. Manual dexterity, repetitive motion tasks. Moderate noise level. Respirators and other protective equipment may be required.
