Description

Happy 2021 Craigslist Loyal Users, We need your help, so please offer us some honest advice & direction. Over the years we have bought, sold, given away for free, posted school & church give away items, fundraisers, silent auctions, events such as carnivals, hayrides at Christmas time, free photo taking sessions, the list is long. We have always had a positive experience and met wonderful people from Craiglist. Recently, our longtime senior family pet has been deteriorating. In order to not to have the other pet left alone without a furry companion and because we love our dogs like family, we started our search to add another pet to the family. We reached out to people that provided our family pets fr before. Found out the moved far off or now are in their 80's and resting. We started looking on Craiglist for a pet that my be ready for adoption or one requesting a rehoming fee. As myself and a friend started the search it has been exhausting. Instead of a return call about a pet, we are getting emails. A few text. Some asking if we will take 2 puppies, some asking the same variety of questions via email to "insure the dog is going to a good home" and most responding with long stories about way they are now wanting to give the puppy away for free. Then some asking for us to pay the shipping or transport charge. None will get on the phone like a normal human wanting to find a good home for a pet! Others sending an email or text that the dog is healthy, while you see someone post that the same person is offering pups with Parvo or other sickness. Will some of you honest Craiglist users please direct us on what scams are out there and how to search & adopt pets and avoid the "undesirables' and their scams. Please! I know there are some great people out there and can direct us. Thank you!!
