Sob story: I’ve had my Chihuahua since she was a baby. At that time I was in an abusive relationship. Once I left the relationship and left my home I relocated to a house that would not accept my 5lbs sweetheart. Although he was abusive to me, in order to keep in touch with my dog I allowed my ex to have her so that I would see her every weekend when my children visited. Recently one of my children told me their father has been keeping her in the basement. She is only 5lbs, smallest poops, is quiet and is used to sleeping in a bed like a baby. I cannot prove abuse but I would like to re-home her. If I surrender her to an already crowded shelter that would be a death sentence. I feel she is safer if I send her somewhere I may never have the chance of seeing her again versus her being in the hands of my abuser. Her name is ChiChi (from Dragon Ball Z), she is a long hair black Chihuahua. Approximately 5 lbs, house broken/essentially a house dog as she was raised in an apartment. Extremely friendly, good with kids (and babies), very quiet. She is great with other dogs as well but she is not spayed (I do not believe in that) so she has always been kept away from male dogs. She has never had puppies and has lived her life being pampered.
