desperately need help - stolen car

I desperately need help getting my car from a tow company. My car was stolen from a local Wal-Mart - the police recovered it 2 days later but I couldn't get a ride to pick the car up so they had to have it towed to Rays towing. I understand the tow company has to be paid to run and it isn't their fault. I don't have a support system to fall back on and I am self employeed (I repair laptops, phones, assist with account access). A lot of my work equipment was in the car so between not being mobile to take jobs and items I need I am next to broke currently. It's been 22 days and the tow company has the total at 1000 and told me today I have to decide what to do by monday. Any assistance or direction would be appreciated more than I can express. It's been a rough few months and for once I don't see a way to climb out of this down spiral hole I seem to be stuck in. I typically don't reach out for help but I am so desperate and in a negative head space I am more or less begging.
